Key Responsibilities
- Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard on steel components and assemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair equipment, plant attachments, and structural steelwork.
- Perform cutting, grinding, fitting, and finishing operations as required.
- Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and company standards.
- Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for accuracy and quality.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
- Support workshop maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a MIG and TIG Welder Fabricator.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and fabrication plans.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication processes and welding techniques.
- Experience working with mild steel, structural steel, and heavy fabrication.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices in a workshop environment.
- Desirable: relevant welding qualifications or certifications.
- Experience working on construction, plant, heavy engineering, or industrial equipment.
- Forklift, overhead crane, or lifting equipment experience.
- Full UK driving licence.
