Mechanical Shift Lead

Location: Canary Wharf, London

Salary: £58,000 per annum + Overtime + Excellent Benefits

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Shift Lead to join our established engineering team at a prestigious commercial site in Canary Wharf. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of shift engineers.
  • Carry out and oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
  • Ensure all mechanical plant and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
  • Respond to critical plant failures and coordinate repairs.
  • Manage contractors and specialist service providers on site.
  • Ensure all statutory compliance and health & safety procedures are followed.
  • Complete maintenance documentation and reporting accurately.
  • Provide technical support and mentoring to the engineering team.
  • Liaise with clients and management to maintain excellent service delivery.

What We're Looking For

  • Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience within commercial building maintenance.
  • Experience leading or supervising an engineering team.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, boilers, and associated mechanical systems.
  • Good understanding of health & safety and statutory compliance.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a shift environment.
