This role will be within our MEICA and capital maintenance team.
Our Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control & Automation (MEICA) experts offer a one‑stop solution, including ongoing operation and maintenance services.
- What you will be doing
- Maintain various water assets, including CSO valves, penstocks, hydraulic power units, isolation gates and inspection of chambers and valve equipment.
- Inspect fixed equipment.
- What you’ll bring
We need someone with proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role showing strong leadership and team management skills, the ability to motivate and inspire others, commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols, effective communication skills (both verbal and written), and the ability to collaborate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
You should also have problem‑solving and decision‑making capabilities with a focus on delivering efficient and effective solutions.
Essentials
- Previous mechanical experience.
- Trained or qualified as an apprentice, or have an equivalent NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Successful completion of ONC/HNC in Engineering, NVQ, or C&G Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong focus on safety and quality, and a collaborative teamwork approach.
- Valid UK driving licence.
