Job Description

This Mechanical Maintenance Engineer role is working with one of the UK's leading manufacturing organisations and offers a fantastic salary of £55,000 plus a performance bonus, excellent industry benefits including a pension match up to 10% and fantastic overtime opportunities. Based near the area of Whittlesey, the role is 4 on 4 off days and nights, with nights from 10am to 10pm to support the current production needs of the site. The day shift is 6am to 6pm.

Key Responsibilities of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

  • Carry out essential planned mechanical maintenance and complete necessary repairs to keep the factory in good working order.
  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, inspections, service and repairs on heavy press machinery, bearings, shafts and conveyor-based systems.
  • Involve in ongoing process improvement throughout the factory, developing new ideas and better solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrable knowledge and expertise in PPM and reactive maintenance on industrial plant equipment.
  • Experience performing maintenance tasks on industrial production machinery.
  • High degree of Health & Safety awareness.
