Jones FM is a fast-growing, dynamic facilities management provider. We are currently seeking two motivated and skilled Mechanical Engineers to join our dedicated onsite teams in London. Whether you are looking for a standard work week or the variety of a shift pattern, we have a role that fits your lifestyle.
Roles:
- We are recruiting for two distinct positions. Both roles focus on the maintenance, fault‑finding, and repair of mechanical plant and building services systems.
Role 1: Day Mechanical Engineer - Mon to Fri - 3 week rotating shift times - 7am-4pm, 8am-5pm, 10am-7pm.
Role 2: Day Mechanical Engineer - Mon to Fri - 8am to 5pm
Focus:
- Reactive & Planned Maintenance
- PPMs & System Optimization
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems including pumps, motors, AHUs, FCUs, and plumbing.
- Respond to Reactive Maintenance calls, diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Oversee sub-contractors on‑site, ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate digital logs of all works completed via our CAFM system.
- Ensure all mechanical plant rooms are kept in a clean and safe condition.
What We Are Looking For:
- Qualifications: Ideally, you hold a Level 2 NVQ / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Plumbing & Heating.
- Experience: Proven experience working within a commercial facilities management or building services environment.
- Mindset: A proactive "can-do" attitude with a focus on high-quality service delivery.
- Compliance: A solid understanding of L8 Water Hygiene and general Health & Safety regulations.
