Mechanical Design Engineer – Leamington Spa – Circa £45,000 – Permanent

Are you looking for a new design role to work with a growing company working on a diverse range of projects from sheet metal to fluid process systems which you are able to grow with future development opportunities? I am exclusively working with an excellent business who work within the sub contract manufacturing industries with clients across the Process Engineering and food industries and who are currently looking for a new person to join their design team.

Responsibilities

  • Producing detailed manufacturing drawings of systems, products and layouts from 3D models (fabrication and assembly drawings including BOMs)
  • Ensuring all drawing quality and continuity are up to company standards
  • Making sure all drawing libraries and parts databases are up to date
  • Working closely with the manufacturing department to ensure parts are manufactured to spec, and to help overcome manufacturing problems
  • Issue all drawings and BOMs for manufacture through ERP system

Qualifications

  • Qualified to a reasonable level (HNC in mechanical/manufacturing) or proven work experience
  • Experience as a Draughtsperson / Design Engineer within a fabrication industry
  • Experience in Structural Steel fabrication / Material Handling Structures
  • Experience of working with Inventor, SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Be able to produce under pressure
