Field based, primarily covering a region with occasional UK travel.
Responsibilities include:
- Service, maintenance and repair of testing equipment and instrumentation, including impact, tensile, universal, fatigue, stress and torsion test rigs.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated and maintained to UKAS standards.
- Compile detailed technical reports as required.
- Nightly stays away from home average of 1–2 nights per week.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of destructive materials testing equipment, specifically impact, tensile, universal, fatigue, stress or torsion testing.
- Approachable, honest and a team player.
- Strong understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 is beneficial.
- Genuine interest in becoming a field‑based service and calibration engineer on materials testing rigs.
- Strong IT and communication skills.
- Full valid UK driving licence and right to work in the UK; sponsorship not available.
Package includes:
- £30,000 – £40,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
