We’re supporting a global aerospace leader in the search for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a high-performing fabrication and industrial engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a complex, highly regulated manufacturing environment, contributing to advanced aerospace programmes while driving efficiency, quality, and innovation across production.
The Role
You will play a key role in manufacturing processes, ensuring products are delivered on time, to cost, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Creating and maintaining manufacturing documentation (BOMs, work instructions, configurations)
- Managing suppliers, tooling lifecycle, and manufacturing readiness
- Investigating production issues and driving root cause solutions
- Providing producibility input to design teams
- Developing work sequencing and integrated manufacturing plans
- Ensuring processes meet compliance and operational standards
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in manufacturing / production engineering
- Knowledge of metallurgy, heat treatment, grinding, gears, surface processing or NDT
- Experience with metallic component manufacturing
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and processes
- Proven problem‑solving capability and stakeholder engagement skills
- Relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
Desirable Experience
- Aerospace sector experience
- Experience with gears or transmission components
- Structured problem solving (8D / RCCA)
- Lean Six Sigma exposure
- PPAP / PFMEA experience
