The role requires a determined and dynamic hands-on approach, supporting the successful introduction of new products from concept through to full production. The Manufacturing Engineer will demonstrate extensive experience of injection moulding, tooling and process optimisation, with proven experience within a New Product Introduction (NPI) environment. The candidate should be a well-rounded engineer with broad experience across NPI, including process engineering and assembly, and the ability to apply automotive quality tools such as APQP and PFMEA.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and validation of manufacturing and assembly processes for new products, supporting key stakeholders across the project.
  • Manage and coordinate tooling supply processes, working closely with internal tooling specialists and outsourced tooling suppliers.
  • Provide a detailed project plan for new project launches, covering molding, tooling, and assembly (jigs & fixtures); utilise project management tools including PFMEA, Process Flow, and Control Plans.

Qualifications

  • Hold a HND/HNC or degree-level qualification in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Plastics Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role with direct involvement in injection moulding tooling programmes.
  • Proven experience working within an NPI/Launch environment.
