Are you a Chartered Engineer/Principal level Engineer looking for a new challenge to assist with wastewater treatment schemes nationwide? Carrington West are working with a leading D&B Contractor who is delivering major design schemes within the water & wastewater sector from offices in Manchester.
We are looking for a Principal Civil Engineer from the Water/Wastewater background who has experience in detailed design and is able to assist the consultancy with design review and submission. At present, the business has an opportunity between the Senior Engineers and Director level where you can add tremendous value assisting in the key design reviews for Water/Wastewater Treatment Projects on behalf of utility companies nationwide. You may also be needed to assist with concept and detailed design.
In this job you will be working across the full spectrum of engineering design which will include feasibility, optioneering, detailed design, outline design, final design, preparing reports and technical specifications and proposals for water related non-infrastructure projects for the end client.
In order to be suitable, the job you MUST have the following:
- Experience in the full cycle of project design delivery from inception to detailed design.
- Able to take responsibility for leading small projects and sub tasks from a technical perspective.
- Knowledge and experience of design of one, or more, of the following:
- Water treatment works
- Wastewater treatment works
- Potable water networks, pumping stations and reservoirs
Minimum requirements:
- BSc, BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering.
- Experience using a 3D design tool and other proprietary software products.
- Project management experience.
- Industry recognised health and safety qualifications.
- Chartership with a relevant professional institution or extensive experience in a similar role.
