We are recruiting for a maintenance technician to cover PPM and reactive maintenance on several sites in Manchester. The maintenance handyperson will be responsible for general repairs, plumbing, lighting checks, compliance checks, fabric maintenance and minor room/building repairs.

Maintenance Handyperson Description:

  • Provide general maintenance to the facilities including:
    • Lamping
    • Fabric maintenance - basic joinery, painting, patch plastering
    • Basic Plumbing
    • Completing compliance checks, emergency lighting, tap temps etc.
    • Assisting engineers and trades on site
    • Room repairs
    • Working across several closely located buildings in Manchester City Centre
    • Ad-hoc handyperson duties

Maintenance Technician / Handyperson Requirements:

  • To have maintenance and handyperson experience
  • Compliance experience such as tap temps, emergency lighting checks etc.
  • Experience of fabric trades such as joinery, painting etc.
  • Applicants are expected to have several years prior experience some of which will have been in a similar role and have good customer skills.
  • It is essential staff are self-motivated and promote a “Can do” customer attitude at all times.
  • Ability and desire to complete general fabric maintenance tasks
  • Operate all systems within the building in a competent, effective and efficient manner, adhering to relevant guidelines and bulletins.
