Anti-Social Behaviour Support Officer- Rate: Β£18.16 per hour
- Location: Manchester (M2 Postcode)
- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
Join our dedicated team in Manchester, tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) and making a significant impact in the community. This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of community safety, working closely with key partners and directly engaging with the public to promote peace and compliance.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Be visibly active in the community, raising awareness of our services and supporting individuals affected by ASB.
- Apply a harm-centred approach to casework, identifying victims and perpetrators, and assessing vulnerability to make appropriate referrals.
- Collaborate with the police to deliver on-street community safety interventions.
- Issue Community Protection Warnings/Notices and engage positively with perpetrators to encourage compliance with positive requirements.
- Accurately record all interventions and promote the work of the team through internal and external communications or events.
- Drive the partnership community safety van to various locations as part of your duties.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with professionals, victims, witnesses, and perpetrators.
- Experience in applying ASB legislation and contributing to action plans to resolve local issues.
- Proficiency in using various ICT applications and systems for accurate record-keeping.
- Confidence in delivering both informal and formal interventions.
- Flexibility to work shifts between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday.
- Full driving licence is essential.
