- Support maintenance planning activities and continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Work closely with operations and engineering teams to maximise plant availability and efficiency
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, reports, and KPI data
- Promote and maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and engineering best practice throughout the site
Skills & Experience:
The successful candidate will ideally possess:
- Minimum 5 years’ engineering experience within a chemical, process manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment
- Strong understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and process plant operations
- Hands-on multi-skilled maintenance experience across mechanical and electrical systems
- Strong experience working with pumps, valves, hydraulic systems, motors, rotating equipment, and process plant machinery
- Experience interpreting maintenance data, trends, and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
- Knowledge of preventative and predictive maintenance methodologies
- Experience using CMMS systems and maintaining accurate maintenance documentation
- Strong understanding of engineering compliance, statutory inspections, and health & safety legislation
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- HNC qualification or above in an Engineering discipline
Essential Industry Background:
Previous experience within a chemical manufacturing or chemical processing environment is essential. Candidates must demonstrate a strong understanding of process plant equipment, chemical production environments, and the maintenance requirements associated with operating within a highly regulated industry.
Desirable Experience:
- Reliability-centred maintenance (RCM)
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Asset performance and reliability improvement projects
- Maintenance KPI development and reporting
- Continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience working within COMAH, ATEX, DSEAR, or similarly regulated environments
Why Should You Apply?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business where you can make a genuine impact on equipment reliability, maintenance performance, and operational efficiency. The role offers a strong balance of hands-on engineering responsibility and data-led maintenance improvement, allowing you to utilise both your technical expertise and analytical capabilities.
