Job Description
Maintenance Engineer Assistant – London Park Royal. Salary: £34,900. Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – Nights. Location: Acton, West London.

The Role
- Supporting the Maintenance Engineers with day-to-day engineering activities.
- Taking machinery and mechanical equipment apart ready for servicing and maintenance.
- Reassembling machinery correctly once servicing or maintenance work has been completed.
- Preparing equipment for planned maintenance activities.
- Carrying out basic mechanical maintenance and adjustments.
- Working safely around industrial machinery and following site procedures.
- Keeping equipment, tools and work areas clean and organised.
About You
- Previous hands‑on mechanical experience, ideally within a manufacturing, industrial or engineering environment.
- Good practical/mechanical aptitude.
- Experience using basic mechanical tools.
- Confidence taking machinery apart and putting it back together correctly.
- The ability to follow instructions and work methodically.
- A good understanding of health and safety when working around machinery.
- A willingness to learn and develop engineering skills.
- The ability to work as part of a team.
Formal engineering qualifications are desirable but not essential if you have good practical mechanical experience.
