This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience who enjoys working outdoors and is looking for a long-term position.
The Role
As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining school grounds to a high standard across a mobile route.
Duties will include:
- Grass cutting and strimming
- Hedge and shrub maintenance
- Weeding and general grounds upkeep
- Litter picking and maintaining tidy outdoor areas
- Using grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Carrying out general landscaping and horticultural duties as required
- Travelling between schools across the Maidstone area
- Working as part of a team while also managing tasks independently
- Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard
Requirements
- Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or a similar role is
- Full UK driving licence is essential
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Good attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- A professional and positive attitude
