Connect Appointments has a new opportunity for an individual to become a Machine Operator with our established employee‑owned East Kilbride based client. Please note that the successful candidate must have previous Machine Operating experience.

Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Benefits:

  • Full‑time position, 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Eligibility for the client's profit‑sharing bonus scheme
  • 32 days annual leave

Responsibilities:

  • Operating a wide range of production machinery
  • Inspecting finished items ensuring they are of the highest quality
  • Cleaning production machinery
  • Informing supervisors of faulty machinery or production issues

Qualifications:

  • Previous machine operating experience, ideally in a production, manufacturing or similar environment
  • Good level of hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to read mechanical detail drawings
  • Great attention to detail
  • Previous experience operating a manual horizontal borer
