Connect Appointments has a new opportunity for an individual to become a Machine Operator with our established employee‑owned East Kilbride based client. Please note that the successful candidate must have previous Machine Operating experience.
Salary: £35,000 to £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Benefits:
- Full‑time position, 39 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
- Eligibility for the client's profit‑sharing bonus scheme
- 32 days annual leave
Responsibilities:
- Operating a wide range of production machinery
- Inspecting finished items ensuring they are of the highest quality
- Cleaning production machinery
- Informing supervisors of faulty machinery or production issues
Qualifications:
- Previous machine operating experience, ideally in a production, manufacturing or similar environment
- Good level of hand‑eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to read mechanical detail drawings
- Great attention to detail
- Previous experience operating a manual horizontal borer
