Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance strategy to minimise downtime and optimise asset performance.
  • Lead, coach and develop a multi-skilled engineering team to ensure strong performance and engagement.
  • Manage engineering budgets, contractors and procurement activities to support cost-effective operations.
  • Drive optimisation of the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to improve maintenance planning and asset reliability.
  • Collaborate with operations teams on continuous improvement initiatives and production targets.
  • Lead capital expenditure projects and planned shutdown activities through to successful completion.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health & safety, environmental and ISO standards.

About You

  • Strong electrical and control systems expertise gained within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in an engineering management role in manufacturing.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including PLCs and machine control systems.
  • Experience managing engineering budgets, including consumable and capital expenditure.
  • Proficient in CMMS administration and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proven ability to lead multifunctional teams and deliver operational improvements.
  • HND or Degree qualified in an engineering discipline.
  • TPM/Autonomous Maintenance experience desirable; Lean manufacturing experience advantageous.
  • IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification desirable.

Salary

Approximately £60,000 per year (depending on experience).
