Join a long established contractor known for delivering technically demanding civil and structural schemes. Their reputation is built on the strength of their technical division who have a hands‑on role in shaping and resolving complex design challenges. This is an opportunity to become a key member of a team that’s behind high‑profile projects across nuclear, rail, aviation, highways, and high‑rise sectors. Much of this workload is in Central and Greater London.

Your Role:

You will be involved in the design of superstructures, with a particular focus on steelwork and its interface with concrete. This includes developing connection details, producing calculation packs and fabrication sketches, and reviewing client specifications to clarify design intent. You will work closely with project managers to ensure your designs are practical, respond to design queries from clients and consultants, and lend your support to junior engineers who need guidance and work checked.

Profile Required:

The position would suit a structural engineer with five years plus experience who is working towards chartership (ICE & IStructE training and mentorship is provided). Your experience must include some exposure to designing steel building structures and you should be confident using tools such as IDEA StatiCa, Tekla Structures, and Robot Structural Analysis.
