An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Architect or Architectural Technician to join a high-profile retrofit project of an Embassy in Central London. This 6–9 month fixed-term contract will see you coordinating design and delivery on a complex, live site. It’s a key role within a fast-paced environment, ideal for someone confident operating on site and working independently.
Responsibilities
- Act as the on-site technical lead, coordinating architectural design information
- Manage communication between the client team, consultants, and contractors
- Review and oversee technical drawings, ensuring quality and compliance
- Monitor construction progress and resolve design issues in real time
- Lead coordination meetings and ensure information flow across the project team
- Ensure the retrofit design is delivered to programme, budget, and specification
- Provide technical guidance and support across all stages of construction
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Technical Architect or Architectural Technician
- 5-6 years experience post qualification
- Proficient in Revit
- Strong background in retrofit or complex refurbishment projects
- Confident working on-site and liaising with contractors and consultants
- Excellent technical detailing and construction knowledge
- Ability to manage and coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and organisational abilities
- Experience working in a client-side or lead consultant role is advantageous
