The Opportunity
Shaping the Future of RegTech. Vixio is evolving from a regulatory intelligence provider into a next‑ Regulatory Change Management Platform. We’re seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to drive technical strategy during the enterprise sales cycle, translating our AI‑powered, expert‑led platform into scalable solutions for compliance teams.
The Challenge
This is a technical problem‑solver’s role: you’ll architect how Vixio integrates into modern GRC, risk management, and compliance infrastructures. You’ll work from our 2026 roadmap to translate complex requirements into product feedback, navigate multi‑stakeholder evaluations, and serve as a trusted conduit between Sales, Product, and Technology teams—helping accelerate security, compliance, and integration requirements that often bottleneck enterprise deals.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored technical demonstrations connecting Vixio’s platform capabilities to specific business challenges and regulatory landscapes.
- Lead discovery conversations with prospects and customers, uncovering KPIs, strategic initiatives, technical pain points, and integration requirements.
- Answer technical questions on implementation, security architecture, data delivery, API integrations, and compliance standards with authority.
- Act as the core technical liaison between customers, Sales, Product, and Engineering - translating business requirements into technical specifications.
- Own RFP responses, security questionnaires, and architecture discussions. Lead proof‑of‑concept scoping and technical evaluations.
- Build deep expertise across the Vixio platform, API integrations, webhooks, data pipelines, and the Regulatory Knowledge Graph.
- Maintain clear understanding of global compliance frameworks, GRC workflows, and how regulations vary across jurisdictions and verticals (Payments, Financial Services, Gambling).
- Gather frontline customer insights on integration challenges, technical gaps, and product priorities. Feed this directly to Product and Engineering teams.
- Ensure smooth technical handover to implementation teams. Document architectural decisions, integration plans, and success criteria.
- Identify and mitigate technical risks during pre‑sales and early implementation phases. Escalate blockers early to prevent deal stalls.
What You’ll Bring
- Pre‑Sales Expertise: 5+ years in Sales Engineering, Solutions Consulting, or Solutions Architecture within B2B SaaS. Experience selling to compliance, risk, and C‑suite stakeholders across Payments, Financial Services, or regulated industries is highly valued.
- Integration & Technical Architecture: Solid grasp of APIs, webhooks, REST architecture, data pipelines, and modern security/compliance standards. Can analyse client infrastructure and map it to platform capabilities. Experience with Payments (Wise, Stripe, PayPal) or Financial Services integrations is valuable.
- Trusted Intelligence Mindset: Understand why AI grounded in human‑verified regulatory data is fundamentally different from generic LLMs. Can articulate why Vixio’s combination of 20+ years expertise, 20 specialist analysts, and Regulatory Knowledge Graph covering 200+ jurisdictions matters for compliance risk.
- Commercial Acumen & Communication: Translate complex technical details into clear business value for buyers. Equally comfortable with engineers on architecture or executives on strategy. Communication is crisp, credible, and focused on solving customer problems.
- Problem Solving & Systems Thinking: Natural builder mindset. Analyse complex issues, improve processes, thrive without rigid playbooks. Comfortable operating in scale‑up environments where customer needs inform product direction.
- Security & Compliance Acumen: Understand security requirements, SOC 2/ISO 27001, data and audit logging, encryption. Trusted conduit between Sales and Technology—able to articulate product capabilities on security RFPs and elevate genuine technical concerns.
- Strategic Collaboration & Tech Curiosity: Proactive team player building trusted relationships with sales, product, engineering, and customers. Comfortable using AI tools to drive productivity and genuinely curious about emerging technologies.
Understanding the Sales Motion
Enterprise regulatory change management requires champion‑driven selling and multi‑stakeholder alignment. Your champion—typically a Chief Compliance Officer, Head of Legal, or Head of Regulatory Affairs—owns the business case and internal advocacy. You’ll support them with technical credibility, POC results, and proof that Vixio fits their architecture.
Technical evaluation spans compliance (business logic), operations (workflow), and technology (integrations, security, data delivery) teams. You’ll run deep dives with each group, translating business value across all three. Customers want to see Vixio’s Regulatory Knowledge Graph in action; successful POCs demonstrate accuracy, system integration, and quick time‑to‑value.
Expect detailed security RFPs. You’ll serve as the technical conduit between Sales and Technology, translating product capabilities into technical requirements and escalating genuine gaps to Engineering. Most customers want Vixio connected to existing GRC platforms (ServiceNow, Workiva, MetricStream, LogicGate) or payment processing infrastructure—integration complexity often shapes deal scope.
Technical Depth Expected
- API Fundamentals: Read REST API documentation, understand authentication schemes (OAuth, API keys, mTLS), explain webhook patterns. Know the difference between synchronous and asynchronous integrations.
- Data Architecture: Understand ETL, data lakes, warehouses, JSON/XML payloads, and how data moves between systems. Can scope data volume and throughput requirements.
- Compliance Infrastructure: Familiar with GRC tool workflows (task management, audit trails, reporting), how they integrate with risk management systems, and typical architecture patterns in Financial Services and Payments.
- Security Concepts: Understand SOC 2/ISO 27001, data and sovereignty, encryption at‑rest/in‑transit, audit logging, and role‑based access control.
- Troubleshooting Mindset: Diagnose customer questions, prototype solutions, or elevate to Engineering with enough context to move fast.
The Vixio Edge
Hybrid + Global: 2‑3 days office‑based, work from anywhere globally up to 20 days/year. Comprehensive benefits: competitive salary, bonus, pension, health/dental insurance, EV car scheme, mental health support.
High‑Performance Culture: Real investment in your growth, coaching, peer reviews, and a team that takes development seriously. You’ll be building expertise in Regulatory Change Management platforms while influencing how Vixio scales into enterprise compliance markets. Partner with Sales teams that understand enterprise software, Product teams building next‑ RegTech, and Engineering teams that take technical excellence seriously.
