Job Description

The Role

We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP Integration Suite Architect with over 8 years of experience, specializing in SAP CPI and APIM.

The architect will design integration solutions and lead the migration from IBM MQ to the SAP Integration Suite.

This role involves working with stakeholders to design scalable, secure, and efficient integration architectures that connect SAP and non‑SAP systems

Your responsibilities

  • Design enterprise‑level integration solutions using SAP BTP Integration Suite using SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI), API Management (APIM) and Event Mesh
  • Lead the planning and execution of New Integration Development and Migration of Integration from IBM MQ, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Define architecture and roadmap for cloud and hybrid integration scenarios (cloud-to-cloud, cloud-to-on‑premise).
  • Design a Hybrid Integration platform using SAP Integration suite and AWS utilizing advantages of both services
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and define solution architecture.
  • Implement security best practices in the design of integration solutions, including the use of protocols like OAuth, SSL/TLS, and SAML.
  • Ensure compliance with cloud security principles when designing solutions that involve sensitive data.
  • Lead design workshops and create technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, integration patterns, and best practices.
  • Define integration patterns such as message transformations, routing, and error handling, and ensure these are followed throughout the project.
  • Optimize integration architecture for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Lead the development team to complete the developments in SAP Integration Suite
  • Guide and mentor the implementation team, ensuring alignment with the solution design and overall architectural principles.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience: (Up to 10, Avoid repetition)

  • Strong expertise in integration design patterns, cloud integration architectures, and security best practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of SAP process integration, orchestration architecture, and best practices.
  • Proficient in working with adapters such as SOAP, REST, OData, SFTP, IDoc, and JMS.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and integration security best practices.
  • Experience with message mapping techniques like Graphical Mapping, XSLT, and Java Mapping.
  • 8+ years of experience in SAP PI/PO or CPI, with hands‑on expertise in SAP BTP Integration Suite.
  • Proven experience leading SAP Integration Suite migration project (IBM MQ to SAP Integration suite)
  • Experience guiding and mentoring junior engineers or consultants.

Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to create technical roadmaps and present them to stakeholders.
