Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of a major IT outsourcing programme involving the transition of Service Desk and Access Management (IAM) services from a UK-based operation to an established India-based managed service provider. The successful candidate will take ownership of the implementation, supplier onboarding, transition planning, stakeholder management, and organisational change activities required to successfully move services to the new provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of outsourced Service Desk and IAM services.
- Manage the transition from an existing UK-based operation to an India-based managed service provider.
- Develop and execute detailed transition and implementation plans.
- Coordinate business, technology, operational and HR workstreams.
- Drive supplier onboarding and service transition activities.
- Manage risks, issues, governance and programme reporting.
- Work closely with HR to manage organisational impacts, including consultation and redundancy-related activities.
- Ensure service continuity throughout the transition period.
- Deliver a successful operational handover to the new provider.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience implementing IT outsourcing programmes.
- Demonstrable experience transitioning Service Desk operations to offshore providers, ideally India-based organisations.
- Experience delivering Access Management (IAM) outsourcing or transformation initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across technology and business teams.
- Experience managing organisational change and workforce impacts associated with outsourcing programmes.
- Hands-on delivery approach with a track record of getting programmes over the line.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with ServiceNow.
- ITIL service management knowledge.
- Experience onboarding managed service providers and delivering service transitions.
