An opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s most respected independent construction and property consultancies as part of its expanding London team. With a heritage spanning more than a century, this employee-owned business has built an outstanding reputation for delivering some of the UK’s most prestigious and technically complex developments across the commercial, mixed-use, residential, infrastructure and public sectors. This role has been created as part of the consultancy’s continued growth within the London development market and offers a rare blend of hands-on project delivery alongside a clearly defined pathway into leadership.

The Opportunity

This is not a purely managerial position. Approximately 60% of the role will remain heavily project focused, leading planning and preconstruction strategy on a portfolio of landmark high-rise commercial and mixed-use developments across London for a range of major developer, investor and institutional clients. The remaining 40% of the role will focus on developing towards a future team leadership position. The successful individual will work closely with senior leadership on client development, business and work-winning activities, making this an excellent opportunity for someone with both technical credibility and commercial ambition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead whole life cycle planning, programming and preconstruction activities across complex London developments from bid stage through to delivery
  • Develop, manage and interrogate detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 and associated planning software
  • Drive programme strategy, sequencing and risk mitigation across high-value projects
  • Support major bids and tenders, contributing to win strategies and client presentations
  • Act as a key interface with developers, consultants, contractors and senior stakeholders
  • Provide strategic planning advice throughout preconstruction and delivery phases
  • Mentor and support junior team members while developing towards broader team leadership responsibilities
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, client engagement and market growth activities
What We’re Looking For
  • Extensive experience within construction planning, preconstruction or programme management gained within a leading contractor or consultancy environment
  • Strong exposure to large-scale commercial and mixed-use developments, ideally including high-rise schemes in London
  • Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6 and construction sequencing methodologies
  • Excellent client-facing and presentation skills with the confidence to engage senior stakeholders
  • Commercially aware, ambitious and motivated to progress into a leadership position
  • Strong understanding of construction delivery, procurement and contract administration processes
  • Degree qualified within Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
