A growing manufacturing organization is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector II to support quality assurance activities throughout the production process. This role is responsible for conducting incoming, in-process, and final inspections, maintaining quality documentation, supporting calibration programs, and ensuring products meet established specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming inspections of raw materials, components, and production supplies using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, microscopes, and gauges.
- Conduct in-process and final inspections to verify product quality and compliance with specifications.
- Utilize laboratory and testing equipment to perform quality evaluations and record results.
- Review and complete quality documentation, inspection records, checklists, release forms, and related reports.
- Identify and document non-conforming materials or products and assist with corrective action processes.
- Perform detailed reviews of manufacturing and quality records as part of final product release activities.
- Support engineering and operations teams with first article inspections, special inspections, and validation activities.
- Assist in developing and updating inspection procedures, forms, and quality documentation.
Calibration & Equipment Management
- Coordinate facility calibration activities and maintain calibration schedules.
- Arrange external calibration services and support on-site calibration events.
- Track calibration due dates and communicate requirements to affected departments.
- Maintain calibration records, certifications, and equipment documentation.
- Update equipment tracking systems and maintain accurate asset records.
Documentation & Administrative Support
- Maintain quality tracking logs, inspection databases, and activity reports.
- Perform data entry and record management activities related to quality systems.
- Support product return and material disposition processes, including documentation and record retention.
- Order laboratory and quality control supplies as needed.
- Assist with routine testing and monitoring activities.
- Perform additional quality and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Inspection, Manufacturing, or a related field.
