An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Systems Manager to join a growing and highly respected consultancy group based in Central London. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in systems implementation, project operations, reporting and process improvement to step into a highly visible role where they can make a real impact across the business. The company is entering an exciting phase of growth and transformation, having recently implemented a new project management system. They now require a confident and commercially aware individual to take ownership of the system, improve internal processes and ensure project data is accurate, efficient and commercially effective.
The Role
As Project Systems Manager, you will become the internal expert for the company’s project management system, supporting teams across multiple offices and ensuring projects are set up, managed and reported correctly. You will work closely with senior leadership, finance and project delivery teams to improve workflows, reporting accuracy and commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as superuser for the project management system, providing support and training to internal users
- Manage project setup, workflows and data accuracy across the business
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, reporting and internal processes
- Produce meaningful project reports, dashboards and insights for leadership teams
- Review budgets, WIP, invoicing and forecasting to improve project performance
- Work closely with Project Managers to challenge inconsistencies and improve controls
- Support working capital management and finance processes
- Manage and develop one direct report
- Support senior stakeholders with ad hoc operational and strategic projects
About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who have experience within project operations, systems implementation or business process improvement environments. You will ideally have:
- Experience implementing or managing project / business systems
- Strong Excel and reporting skills
- Excellent organisational and stakeholder management ability
- Commercial awareness with experience around budgets, forecasting or project finances
- Strong attention to detail
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Experience within consultancy, engineering, professional services or similar would be highly desirable
- Deltek Vantagepoint experience would be advantageous but not essential
