This is a senior, hands‑on strategy role leading a group‑level fixed infrastructure project with a strong focus on fibre / FTTH. You will act as the day‑to‑day project lead, working closely with senior stakeholders across Group functions and local operating companies to define strategic options and support executive‑level decision making.
Role details
- Location: London (Paddington) – 2 days per week onsite
- Rate: £700 per day (inside IR35)
- Contract length: 3 months initially (with visibility to extend)
Key responsibilities
- Act as the day‑to‑day lead for a group‑level fixed infrastructure strategy project.
- Drive structured analysis on how fixed and fibre infrastructure should be accessed and scaled across markets.
- Assess different access models, including owned networks, partnerships, and wholesale/ third‑party infrastructure.
- Coordinate closely with Group teams and local European OpCos.
- Translate complex technical and strategic topics into clear, executive‑ready materials.
- Support senior leadership through well‑structured options, recommendations, and insights.
- Present workstream outputs to senior management and steering committees.
Key requirements
- Strong telecoms background with deep experience in fixed and fibre infrastructure (FTTH)
- Proven experience working on fixed infrastructure strategy projects
- Background in strategy consulting or corporate strategy within telecoms
- Solid understanding of European telecoms markets and regulatory environments
- Strong analytical, structuring, and executive communication skills
