You’ll take ownership of grid connections and associated infrastructure from early-stage through to energisation – playing a key role in enabling new data centre capacity across Europe. This is an opportunity to join a business at scale, but still in a phase of significant growth, where power strategy and execution are central to success.

The Role

You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of power infrastructure, ensuring projects are progressed efficiently from concept through to energisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Grid Connections & Infrastructure Delivery
    • Lead delivery of transmission and distribution connections, including substations and cable routes
    • Manage projects in line with grid agreements and wider development milestones
    • Drive progress with utilities (TSOs/DNOs) and contractors through to energisation
    • Identify and manage EPC / turnkey contractors
  • Local Power & Energy Solutions
    • Support evaluation and delivery of front-of-the-meter and behind-the-meter solutions
    • Manage contractors delivering onsite or alternative power solutions
    • Contribute to commercial and technical negotiations
  • Site Selection & Feasibility
    • Assess power availability and grid timelines for new sites
    • Analyse infrastructure requirements, interim solutions, and long‑term capacity
    • Provide clear recommendations to support land and development decisions
  • Energy & Commercial Support
    • Support energy procurement activities and implementation (e.g. metering)
    • Track renewable energy opportunities, including private wire solutions
    • Assist with grid connection agreements and utility negotiations
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Act as the key point of contact for all power‑related matters internally
    • Work closely with land, sales, construction and operations teams
    • Provide clear, concise updates on project status and risks
  • Financial & Reporting
    • Track capital spend and budget commitments
    • Support forecasting and communicate key payment milestones

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years’ experience delivering grid connections and power infrastructure for large energy users
  • Proven track record in HV / EHV project delivery from concept through to energisation
  • Strong experience working with TSOs, DNOs and utility providers
  • Experience managing contractors and driving programme delivery
  • Exposure to grid connection agreements and utility negotiations
  • Ability to communicate complex technical and commercial topics clearly

Desirable Experience

  • Data centre or mission‑critical infrastructure experience
  • Exposure to renewable energy or power
  • Experience working across European markets
  • Additional European skills (French, Spanish or German)

Why This Role?

  • Join a high‑growth data centre platform delivering hyperscale capacity across Europe
  • Play a key role in unlocking power, the single biggest constraint in the market
  • Opportunity to work across multiple countries and complex infrastructure projects
  • Clear scope for progression as the platform continues to scale
