We are seeking ambitious and driven Intermediate Planners to join a leading UK construction business delivering major projects across healthcare, defence, education, commercial and wider construction sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for planners with 4–6 years’ experience who are looking to take the next step in their career and work on complex live projects within a high-performing environment. The successful candidates will bring strong planning experience across construction, MEP or building services environments and be confident using ASTA Powerproject.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project programmes across live construction projects
  • Build schedules covering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover phases
  • Track progress against milestones, critical path activities and key deliverables
  • Coordinate with project managers, site teams, commercial teams, subcontractors and consultants
  • Produce regular programme updates, lookaheads and progress reports
  • Identify delays, risks and programme conflicts, implementing mitigation strategies
  • Support tender planning and pre-construction scheduling activities
  • Ensure planning standards, reporting processes and programme governance are maintained

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Planner / Intermediate Planner within construction projects
  • 4–6 years’ planning experience
  • Background in construction, MEP, building services or engineering projects
  • Strong working knowledge of ASTA Powerproject
  • Understanding of project delivery from design through commissioning and handover
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Driven, proactive and solutions-focused attitude
  • Eligible to work in the UK
