High Skills Technician (Electrical/Electronic Engineering) – 36 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Salary in the range of £31,632–£33,621 per annum including London weighting. Location: Uxbridge Campus.
This role supports higher education delivery at the West London Institute of Technology, working in labs such as Power and Robotics Lab, PLCs and Mechatronics Lab, Electronics Lab and LN Experiments Lab.
Responsibilities:- Assist lecturers in preparing equipment and resources for teaching and learning.
- Maintain tools and equipment to an efficient level.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements.
- Support higher education delivery activities within the Electrical/Electronic Engineering area.
- Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- At least 2 years’ experience with electrical equipment, PLCs, robotics and mechatronics.
- Experience using higher education software such as Multisim, Matlab, PLC, Verilog, LabVIEW, and C programming.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
