As Global Senior Procurement Specialist, you will take ownership of key procurement activities across global spend areas, driving both operational excellence and strategic value creation. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring supply continuity, cost optimisation, and supplier performance, while helping to embed stronger processes, governance, and ways of working as the organisation scales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive results across procurement activities, ensuring continuity of materials and services while delivering against ambitious performance and cost targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with critical suppliers, positioning procurement as a true business partner.
  • Manage commodity pricing, identify and onboard new suppliers, and negotiate commercially strong, future‑proof agreements.
  • Perform detailed cost analysis and benchmarking, ensuring competitive positioning and informed decision‑making.
  • Deliver sustainable cost savings by reducing total cost of ownership through negotiation, value analysis, and process improvement.
  • Lead and evolve supplier‑managed inventory (SMI) models, working closely with Supply Chain to manage risk, improve resilience, and standardise approaches globally.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and external vendors, while taking a leadership role in guiding and upskilling regional procurement teams on best practice.
  • Lead and support end‑to‑end tender activity, including tender design, evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.
  • Support supplier approval processes, ensuring the right partners are selected to support both current operations and future growth.
  • Identify priority areas for improvement based on material criticality, value, and volume, proactively reducing supply risk and driving efficiency.
  • Support the implementation and execution of category strategies, contracts, and procurement initiatives.
  • Contribute to and support cross‑functional working groups, helping shape strategic direction and governance across categories.
  • Develop and continuously improve procurement SOPs, tools, and processes to support a scaling organisation.
  • Ensure procurement master data integrity within ERP systems, maintaining accuracy across supplier and pricing information.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in procurement / strategic sourcing within pharma, biotech, life sciences, or another highly regulated and complex environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate analysis into real business value.
  • Experience working with global suppliers and managing complex contracts.
  • Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, transforming environment, bringing structure while embracing change.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge at multiple levels.
