About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Planning Manager to join our media agency team, working across digital and paid media channels. This role sits at the heart of campaign strategy, bridging client objectives with channel planning, activation teams, and performance insights. You’ll lead the planning approach for key accounts, ensuring media plans are insight-driven, commercially sound, and deliver against client KPIs across channels such as paid social, paid search, programmatic, display, video, and online audio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Media Strategy & Planning
    • Own the end-to-end media planning process across digital and paid media channels
    • Translate client briefs into clear, data-led media strategies and recommendations
    • Develop integrated channel plans aligned to audience insights, budgets, and objectives
    • Ensure plans are innovative, effective, and aligned with wider brand and business goals
  • Client Management
    • Act as the primary planning contact for clients, building trusted and collaborative relationships
    • Confidently present media strategies, rationales, and performance insights to clients
    • Respond to client briefs, QBRs, and planning requests in a timely and structured way
  • Campaign Performance & Optimisation
    • Work closely with activation and performance teams to ensure plans are executed accurately
    • Review campaign results and performance data to inform optimisations and future planning
    • Use insights and learnings to continuously improve planning recommendations
  • Team & Agency Collaboration
    • Mentor and support junior planners, ensuring best practice planning standards
    • Collaborate with activation, analytics, and creative teams to deliver joined-up solutions
    • Contribute to agency thought leadership, planning tools, and process improvements

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a media planning role within an agency environment
  • Strong knowledge of digital and paid media channels, including paid social, search, and programmatic
  • Experience managing client relationships and leading planning conversations
  • Ability to interpret data and insights to inform strategic decision-making
  • Confident presenter with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercially minded with experience working to budgets and KPIs

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on integrated or multi-channel campaigns
  • Exposure to analytics platforms (e.g. GA, ad platform reporting, dashboards)
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members
