This is a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Maintenance Engineer to step into a day shift lead engineer role with one of the UK’s leading building services providers. This role is ideal for an electrically or mechanically biased engineer looking to take the next step into a leadership position. You will be responsible for overseeing a prestigious commercial site near Liverpool Street, leading a team of 2 engineers while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the building.
Working a 4 on 4 off day shift pattern (7:00am – 7:00pm), you will take ownership of site performance, manage contractors, maintain logbooks, and act as the main point of contact for the client.
Key Responsibilities- PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) & reactive maintenance
- Electrical fault-finding
- Single & three-phase power systems
- Emergency lighting and fire alarms
- BMS operation
- AHUs & FCUs
- Generators and UPS systems
- VAV/VRF systems
- Water treatment (tap tests, dosing, cooling tower checks, etc.)
- Cooling towers
- Pumps and motors
- Supervising contractors and ensuring compliance
- Managing site logbooks and reporting to the client
- City & Guilds Level 3 (Electrical or Mechanical) minimum
- Apprentice trained (desirable)
- Strong building services maintenance experience
- Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role
- Excellent client-facing skills
- £50,000 – £52,000 per annum
