An award-winning, fast-growing events business is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager or ambitious Senior Sales Executive to join its expanding team. The company delivers accessible, affordable, and sustainable events that enable members of the business community to learn, network, and procure together. Key Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets by generating revenue from new and existing exhibitors, while identifying upselling and cross‑selling opportunities for sponsorship packages.
- Drive new business acquisition through inbound marketing qualified leads, competitor event research, and proactive lead generation.
- Maximise client retention by securing onsite rebookings and delivering excellent customer service throughout the year.
- Build strong client relationships through regular communication, including face‑to‑face meetings, video calls, phone calls, and emails.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, responding to queries and keeping them informed about event developments and opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, including client details, call notes, pipeline management, and sales forecasting.
Key Skills & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working on B2B events, ideally trade shows.
- Proven ability to work to targets and achieve KPIs, including 50 calls and 1 hour of call time per day.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel to competitor events in the UK and internationally when required.
- Strong client relationship and communication skills.
- High levels of energy, enthusiasm, and commercial drive.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to identify and implement growth opportunities.
- Experience using HubSpot CRM is desirable.
