We're growing Independent Power Producer (IPP) focused on developing, owning, and operating solar and battery energy storage (BESS) assets. We are committed to delivering flexible, low-carbon energy solutions that support the energy transition across the UK and Europe.

We are looking for a Commercial Asset Manager to optimise the commercial performance of our solar and BESS portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of markets, contracts, and asset performance—driving revenue, managing risk, and ensuring assets are fully aligned with evolving UK energy markets.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Commercial & Revenue Optimisation
    • Manage and optimise revenues across routes to market (e.g. PPAs, cPPAs, CfDs, Capacity Market, ancillary services for BESS).
    • Oversee offtake agreements and trading strategies in coordination with counterparties.
    • Identify value enhancement opportunities (e.g. contract restructuring, merchant exposure, co-location strategies).
  • Market & Regulatory Insight
    • Monitor UK power market developments (e.g. REMA, CfD reforms, Capacity Market, balancing services).
    • Assess impacts on asset revenues, pricing dynamics, and investment strategy.
  • Financial Performance
    • Own asset-level financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
    • Support financial modelling, valuations, and refinancing activities.
    • Drive cost optimisation initiatives across the portfolio.
  • Asset & Operational Oversight
    • Work closely with O&M providers to ensure assets deliver against technical and commercial KPIs.
    • Support performance improvement initiatives and availability optimisation, particularly for BESS flexibility revenues.
  • Risk & Compliance
    • Identify and manage commercial, contractual, and market risks.
    • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
    • Support insurance processes and claims where required.

What you’ll need:

  • 4+ years of experience in renewable energy, energy markets, or asset management.
  • Strong understanding of UK power markets, particularly BESS revenue streams and solar PPAs.
  • Experience with commercial contracts (PPA, CfD, Capacity Market, optimisation agreements).
  • Solid financial modelling and analytical skills.
  • Ability to translate market insights into commercial strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

What We’ll Offer You

  • Competitive salary based on experience.
  • Hybrid working environment.
  • Supportive and dynamic workplace culture.
  • Professional development and career growth opportunities.
  • Opportunity to work on challenging, large-scale international projects.
