The role
- You will take day-to-day ownership of complex, high-value catastrophic injury claims and drive strategy across the lifecycle of each case.
- Duties will include:
- Leading serious injury matters from early liability investigations through to settlement and, where required, litigation.
- Setting case strategy on liability, causation and quantum, including evidence planning and expert selection.
- Managing rehabilitation and interim funding strategy to support clients and families at the earliest stage.
- Instructing and working closely with medical experts, counsel, case managers, care/OT experts and financial advisers.
- Drafting key documents including pleadings, schedules, witness evidence and settlement materials.
- Building strong client relationships and delivering an exceptional client care experience.
You’ll be supported by, and supervise/coach, a qualified solicitor on your caseload, alongside a paralegal who will assist with day-to-day administration and file management.
What you’ll need
- Qualified solicitor or legal executive (or equivalent), operating at Associate/Senior Associate level in claimant serious injury.
- Proven track record running high-value catastrophic injury files with complex liability and quantum issues.
- Strong litigation experience and confident working knowledge of court procedure and case management.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- A client-first approach and the credibility to represent the practice externally within the serious injury sector.
- Experience mentoring or developing junior colleagues is beneficial.
Working pattern and location
- London office option (hybrid) for those who want an office base.
