Are you a senior Mechanical Engineer in Building Service Design and looking to work on some exciting projects? Do you want a contract role with variety?
Location: Liverpool (1x a week in the office)
Rate: Up to £50 per hour (Inside IR35)
Duration: 12 months +
Responsibilities:
- Deliver mechanical design for major construction projects
- Produce high-quality designs, specifications, and technical solutions
- Work closely with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams
- Coordinate designs across disciplines (M&E, BIM, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and quality procedures
- Support cost planning, estimates, and pre-construction activities
- Contribute to innovative and sustainable design solutions
- Support and mentor junior engineers where required
Requirements:
- Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
- CIBSE / IMechE member (or working towards Chartership)
- Strong experience in building services design (HVAC / MEP)
- Experience delivering medium to large-scale projects
- Knowledge of BIM, Revit, and design coordination
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
