Renewables Supervisor in Liverpool

Role Overview

Lead the delivery of high‑quality renewable energy projects as our Renewables Supervisor. You will oversee field teams, ensure safe and efficient maintenance of solar and other low‑carbon technologies, and drive operational excellence across our growing portfolio. This role blends hands‑on technical leadership with planning, problem‑solving and mentoring.

Key Responsibilities

• Day‑to‑day field management, acting as the first point of contact for field teams in your region/area; handle escalation, review complaints and present resolutions to the client.
• Review and action various referrals from different sources, instruct on required surveys and manage parts referrals.
• Provide technical advice, finding solutions to field‑related issues and ensuring installations stay online while maintaining high quality and standards.
• Quote works using calculators and/or SOR to establish costs in line with departmental margins and expectations.
• Track repair status and maintain visibility of jobs and statuses; take action on any jobs stuck longer than the SLA.
• Manage pipeline visibility, anticipate upcoming work and establish capacity to deliver in time.
• Review installation job notes, act on installers’ notes or investigate incomplete tasks at installation.
• Conduct Q/A reporting, review post‑completion surveyor reports and note trends where quality or standards are not met.
• Prepare departmental financial reports on number of completed installations per client and total weekly figures.
• Update clients on job statuses, quotations, bookings and potential installation challenges.
• Review and manage departmental performance, reporting to the line manager on points of improvement or repeated issues.
• Lead and line‑manage field and admin staff, ensuring performance expectations are met in line with SLAs.

Skills & Experience

• Valid domestic and/or commercial gas qualifications (CCN1, CENWAT, HTR1, CKR1 – essential).
• Part L certification.
• Valid UK driving licence (essential).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Practical experience managing teams (essential); experience within social housing desirable.
• Technical understanding of renewable systems and energy/environmental efficiency, and experience designing and specifying domestic and commercial energy‑efficiency solutions.
• Solid understanding of gas safety regulations and industry standards.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Professional and friendly attitude with the ability to forge strong relationships with both clients and tenants.
