Day-to-Day
- Producing detailed electrical designs and calculations for building services projects.
- Coordinating with other disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
- Preparing and reviewing technical specifications and reports.
- Participating in client and project team meetings to discuss progress and address challenges.
- Conducting site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to enhance project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and produce electrical building services designs and calculations for a variety of projects.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, and other consultants to ensure designs are coordinated and meet project requirements.
- Prepare technical specifications, reports, and documentation to support project delivery.
- Attend project meetings and liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and progress.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction phases.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant Building Regulations, British Standards, and industry best practices.
- Contribute to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.
Qualifications
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical building services design.
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Amtech, and Revit MEP.
- Strong knowledge of Building Regulations, British Standards, and industry guidance.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering high-quality work.
