About this role

We're looking for an experienced Software Engineering recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition Team and talented "Tech Squad". You'll be joining a team of 4 Tech Talent Acquisition Partners and you'll report into the Tech Talent Acquisition Lead for Capital One UK.

What you'll do

  • Support in the development of the hiring strategy for current and future talent across our Software Engineering business area which includes Services, Web, Data, Mobile and Software Testing.
  • Source diverse talent for both immediate demand and future pipelining across both our London and Nottingham offices.
  • Take detailed briefs from Hiring Managers on role requirements to enable you to source and screen quality candidates.
  • Have informative conversations with potential candidates about life at Capital One and provide good insight into the role you're sourcing for.
  • Have the ability and confidence to give immediate feedback to candidates who may not be suitable.
  • Contribute at team meetings, generating new ideas and discussing opportunities.
  • Maintain a professional manner and outlook at all times, mindful that we are the face of Capital One.

What we're looking for

  • Experience of sourcing and recruiting for Software Engineering Talent using varied recruitment strategies.
  • Knowledge of the Software Engineering market and extensive experience in sourcing senior engineering talent.
  • The ability to communicate and influence effectively and with confidence is key. You'll need to be comfortable speaking with candidates and hiring managers via phone and or Zoom calls.
  • Maintaining high standards of written communication is essential; being clear, concise and accurate when messaging candidates, completing trackers, updates etc.
  • You'll be highly organised, with a natural sense of urgency and a keen eye for detail.
  • The ability to stay calm and maintain a high standard of work in a fast‐paced and overwhelming environment is essential.

Where and how you'll work

This is a permanent position based in our Nottingham office. We embrace a hybrid approach to work. You'll spend three days a week in the office (Tuesday‐Thursday), with Monday and Friday being dedicated work‐from‐home days. Our offices are designed to inspire and support you. At our Nottingham head office, you'll find an on‐site gym, restaurant and dedicated Learning Loft. Our London office boasts a rooftop running track and coffee bar.
