I'm working with a major housebuilder on a Planning Manager hire for their Leicester office. Big business, strong pipeline, 5-star rated. You'll be managing a mixed portfolio of traditional new build schemes across Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. Some well-established sites, some fresh out of the land pipeline.

The full breadth of residential planning includes:

  • Outline applications
  • Full applications
  • Householder matters
  • Reserved matters submissions
  • Condition discharge

What the role looks like:

  • Leading planning applications from submission through to consent
  • Discharging conditions on live sites to keep build programmes moving
  • Pre-app engagement with LPAs across the region
  • Supporting land appraisals and strategic promotion work
  • Mentoring junior members of the team

What you need:

  • MRTPI qualified
  • Solid residential housebuilding or development background
  • Confident managing multiple schemes and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Midlands planning policy knowledge - useful but not a dealbreaker
