The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a growing installation and commissioning team. This is a field-based role involving the installation, servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of heavy plant machinery at customer sites throughout the UK and internationally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation and commissioning of heavy plant machinery
  • Service, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting on customer sites
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Supporting testing and commissioning activities
  • Completing service reports and handover documentation
  • Working closely with site teams and customers
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently

About You

  • Experience as a Field Service Engineer, Plant Engineer, Mechanical Fitter, or similar
  • Background within heavy plant, quarrying, recycling, construction, or industrial machinery
  • Strong mechanical fitting and fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work independently on customer sites
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willingness to travel across the UK and overseas

Desirable Experience

  • Crushers, conveyors, screeners, or material handling equipment
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Site installation and commissioning
  • Welding or fabrication experience
  • CSCS, IPAF, or similar certifications
