An established and growing passive fire protection contractor is looking to appoint a Technical & Compliance Manager to take ownership of technical standards, quality assurance, and compliance across the business. This is a key, hands-on role at the centre of operations — acting as the go-to for all technical matters, supporting delivery teams, shaping processes, and ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance from specification through to installation and sign-off, while also contributing to team development and overall business performance.
Key responsibilities
- Acting as the technical lead across the business, supporting internal teams and clients
- Overseeing quality assurance across live and completed projects
- Managing and maintaining industry accreditations (e.g. IFC, ISO, CHAS)
- Conducting site audits, inspections, and certification sign-offs
- Ensuring all materials and systems are correctly specified and compliant
- Delivering training and upskilling across survey and site teams
- Managing and developing the surveying and consultancy function
- Line management of senior survey staff and supporting team growth
- Liaising with clients and supply chain on technical and compliance matters
What we're looking for
- Strong background in passive fire protection (fire doors, fire stopping, or both)
- Experience in a technical, compliance, or QA-focused role
- Solid understanding of industry standards, test data, and accreditation schemes
