Job Description
Senior Infrastructure Design Engineer Leeds with Hybrid Working
An established engineering Consultancy in Leeds is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join its team, working closely with its Structural Engineers across a varied portfolio of commercial, industrial, retail and healthcare projects.
This would suit an experienced Infrastructure Engineer who is comfortable running their own highways and drainage design work and wants a role with plenty of autonomy, good project variety and the opportunity to have a real influence on how the team develops.
- You'll take responsibility for the infrastructure elements of projects, including:
- Highways and drainage design Section 38 and Section 278 highway schemes
- Section 104, 106 and 184 drainage work
- Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies
- External works, levels and site infrastructure
- Client and design team meetings
- Managing projects through to completion
There's also a strong digital element to the role.
The Consultancy is continuing to develop its 3D modelling capability, particularly using Civil 3D / Site 3D to coordinate drainage and external works with Structural Revit models.
What are they looking for?
Ideally, you'll have around 5+ years' UK Consultancy experience and be confident delivering highways and drainage schemes independently.
Experience with Civil 3D, Site 3D, PDS, Auto CAD, Flow or Info Drainage would all be useful, while IEng or CEng status would be advantageous rather than essential.
More importantly, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of your work, dealing directly with clients and working closely with other engineering disciplines.
What's on offer?
- Alongside interesting projects and plenty of responsibility, the Consultancy offers:
- Hybrid working with up to two days a week from home
- 26 days' annual leave including your birthday
- an early 3:45pm finish every Friday
- free on-site parking
- annual bonus scheme
- pension
- health benefits
- professional chartership fees paid
- regular social activities
This is a particularly good opportunity if you've reached Senior level and want more ownership without moving away from the technical side of engineering, while also having the chance to help shape the Consultancy's growing 3D infrastructure capability.
