Our client, an established consulting and engineering services group, is currently seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join their dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage or lead in the delivery of environmental workstreams.
- Provide environmental input into design development independently and within project teams.
- Project manage and author environmental assessments, coordinating with subject matter experts for specialist input.
- Offer technical solutions to clients on infrastructure or construction projects.
- Lead coordination and provide direction on environmental matters.
- Support the business development, including the preparation of proposals and bid documents.
- Ensure environmental compliance per client standards, requirements, and policies.
- Interface with clients for environmental coordination, resolving queries and issues.
Job Requirements
- Degree in any environmental discipline.
- Experience within environment design teams, ideally delivering infrastructure or construction projects.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write technical reports.
- Preference for experience in major infrastructure, water or construction projects.
- Knowledge of EU and UK environmental legislation and current best practices.
- Proofing, editing, and report collation experience.
- Decision-making abilities based on logical and reasoned judgment.
- Problem-solving skills for identifying and resolving complex issues.
- Must have experience of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA's).
- Experience with DCO’s, consents, and permits is desirable.
