The Role

As an Engineering Geologist / Senior Engineering Geologist, you'll be involved throughout the project lifecycle, helping clients understand ground conditions, manage risk and develop safe, practical engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high‑quality geotechnical interpretative reports
  • Develop and interpret ground models
  • Undertake geotechnical assessments for earthworks, slopes and associated infrastructure
  • Carry out Preliminary Risk Assessments and Mining Risk Assessments
  • Review technical reports, drawings and calculations
  • Supervise ground investigations and site works
  • Support project and contract‑management activities
  • Manage programme, budget and quality requirements
  • Attend client meetings and technical discussions
  • Support business development and framework opportunities
  • Mentor junior engineers and geologists

About You

You are likely an Engineering Geologist or Geotechnical professional who enjoys technical problem solving and wants to continue developing your career within a consultancy environment. You'll ideally hold a degree in Geology or a related discipline and may already be working towards Chartered status or have recently achieved professional accreditation.

  • Ground investigation planning, supervision and reporting
  • Geotechnical interpretative reports (GIRs)
  • Ground modelling and geotechnical assessments
  • Earthworks inspections and reporting
  • Mining Risk Assessments and Preliminary Risk Assessments
  • Geotechnical design and analysis
  • Rail, infrastructure or civil engineering projects
