We are currently recruiting a Mobile General Maintenance Operative (GMO) to support a public sector contract based in Leeds. This is a hands-on role carrying out planned and reactive fabric maintenance, with responsibility for first-response repairs and site support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned and reactive maintenance across the fabric and limited engineering assets
  • Repairs to floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, furniture, fittings, painting, decorating, and general upkeep
  • First response to toilets, leaks, blockages, Legionella duties, including tap temperature checks and flushing
  • Plant room inspections and AHU filter changes
  • Escorting contractors and monitoring works on site
  • Updating CAFM systems and closing PPM/reactive tasks in line with SLAs
  • Following all health & safety procedures, including RAMS and PPE
  • Assisting engineering teams as required

Qualifications

  • Good knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and/or painting & decorating
  • Detail-focused with high standards of workmanship
  • Full UK driving licence
  • NVQ (or equivalent) in Plumbing, Carpentry, or Decorating (desirable)
