We are seeking a Field Operations Manager to oversee and direct all works carried out by the resources allocated on a contract. This role involves managing service levels, quality, cost control, and ensuring timely completion to meet schedules for incentive payments. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in K&B and adaptations, and will handle operational, financial, contractual, health & safety, and HR matters, with support from the Regional Head of Operations.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Manage, plan, organize, and coordinate work orders within prescribed timescales.
- Direct in-house and agency operatives as well as subcontractors to ensure maximum productivity, customer satisfaction, quality, and completeness of works.
- Administer incentive schemes and ensure all operational procedures are followed.
- Present operational unit aspects such as service delivery and KPIs to the Regional Head of Operations during monthly/weekly meetings.
- Monitor contract performance, producing detailed analysis and implementing improvement plans.
- Manage recruitment processes, performance appraisals, and development of staff within your business unit.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and lead by example to promote a safety culture.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- City & Guilds/time served tradesperson with a minimum of 5 years site experience in the property maintenance/construction industry, or CIOB Level 4 diploma in site management.
- CITB CSCS Health and Safety card for a Supervisor/Manager.
- SSSTMS H&S course or higher.
- Certificate of Asbestos Awareness Training.
- IOSH 1-day ‘Working Safely’ Training Certificate (or equivalent).
- Previous supervisory/management experience.
- Full driving licence.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage change and work both independently and within a team.
