Job Description The Opportunity We are looking for a Lead Systems Architect to join a growing engineering team working across complex mission planning and control systems.

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of architectural artefacts across a complex systems environment, combining your own technical contribution with the ability to guide and support other architects within the team.

The role covers multiple product offerings, providing the opportunity to maximise modularity and re-use across systems, while supporting and influencing the wider design process.

You will work closely with the wider engineering organisation to deliver team objectives on time, on cost and on quality, collaborating across multiple disciplines and teams.

What we're looking for

  • Strong background in complex systems architecture, including practical experience of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within a relevant engineering environment.
  • Understanding or experience of key architectural principles within a product line environment would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships and work collaboratively across wider teams.
  • Ability to influence and lead effectively, coordinating and driving activities across multi-skilled teams.
  • Ability to autonomously lead work packages across small to medium-sized teams.
  • Ability to learn rapidly and understand highly complex problems.
