We’re working with a global, product-led organization building out new, customer-facing platforms used at scale across financial services, travel, and retail. Their focus is on creating modern, cloud-systems that power high-volume, real-time customer experiences, with increasing adoption of AI, automation, and event-driven architectures across their platforms.
The Opportunity
This is a lead-level, hands-on engineering role with genuine ownership and autonomy. You’ll lead a small squad of engineers while remaining deeply embedded in the code, shaping the architecture, engineering standards, and overall technical direction of new platform initiatives. The role is particularly well suited to someone who enjoys building systems from scratch, working closely with product, and solving complex technical problems at scale.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing and building scalable, cloud-systems and APIs
- Leading technical decision-making across architecture and engineering standards
- Remaining hands-on with coding, reviews, and system design
- Building full-stack solutions (backend services and supporting UI where needed)
- Working with event-driven, distributed architectures
- Deploying and managing systems on AWS using Kubernetes and Terraform
- Driving best practices across CI/CD, testing (TDD), and observability
- Mentoring engineers while contributing at a senior technical level
What They’re Looking For
- Current Lead Engineer / Tech Lead experience
- Strong TypeScript / JavaScript background (full stack)
- Solid AWS + cloud-engineering experience
- Experience building production-grade APIs
- Comfortable owning solutions end-to-end
