An exciting opportunity for an Engineer has arisen at Glendon Wood Hospital based in Kettering.
In this role you will play a vital role in keeping our hospital safe, compliant, and operational.
We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Engineer to deliver high-quality maintenance and technical support across our sites.
Where you'll be based: Our brand new state‑of‑the‑art day case hospital is located in Glendon, Kettering.
This new facility is an extension of the services delivered by the nearby Woodland Hospital.
What you'll do
- Act as the primary engineering contact for designated hospitals.
- Deliver Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and respond to reactive tasks within agreed Service Level Agreements.
- Ensure statutory inspections and remedial works are completed on time.
- Provide first‑line support for medical gases and fire safety systems.
- Liaise with contractors, manage permits, and oversee minor repair works.
- Support project management and compliance initiatives.
- Participate in multi‑site on‑call cover and provide holiday/sickness cover as needed.
What We’re Looking For
- City & Guilds Part 3, HNC, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Post‑apprenticeship maintenance experience, contractor coordination, and line management.
- Multi‑skilled (preferably plumbing or electrical bias) with strong fault‑finding skills.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, Legionella prevention, and MMS systems.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
- A full UK driving licence is required.
